Deputy Head: Leonie Watts

Leonie graduated from the University of Exeter with an LLB in Law before undertaking the Graduate Teacher Programme at the Institute of Education, University College London. Leonie primarily trained as an English teacher, but has used her degree and earlier studies to also teach A Level Law and languages at KS3.

After completing her training, Leonie was a Head of Year for four years and then Director of Sixth Form at a large and successful school in Bromley, overseeing the academic progress and pastoral support of 660 Sixth Form students. Driven by her passion for the classroom, Leonie became an Assistant Headteacher, responsible for Teaching and Learning, progress of High Prior Attaining students, and whole school Literacy - a role she relished for seven years. Through these experiences, Leonie gained a breadth of experience of pastoral care and driving improvements to teaching and learning and curriculum provision.

Leonie was drawn to the vibrant community evident at Warlingham School & Sixth Form College and is excited to support the Senior Leadership Team in its commitment to improving the learning experiences and educational outcomes of all of our students.

Her two young children bring her huge joy and give her lots of excuses to bake, sing and go out for walks in the woods.
