Work Experience for Year 10 and Year 12

We are pleased to announce that, after an incredibly successful event last academic year, we are continuing to run an in-person Work Experience event for Year 10 and Year 12 this year.

This will be taking place between the 10th and 14th July 2022. Students will be invited to find their own placement at a company or in a sector that interests them. They will then be able to spend one week finding out about the job/industry and getting to fully experience a workplace and everything it has to offer. Due to COVID-19, we had been unable to run Work Experience for the two years prior to last year so this is a great opportunity for all the students in the year group to have an experience that really makes an impact on them and their future career aspirations. In the past, we have had students offered part time employment and progressing to training and qualifications with the companies they have had their placement with so it can be a life changing opportunity.

Warlingham School & Sixth Form College is excited to be continuing our ongoing partnership with Unifrog to provideUnifrog Logo the administrative support to make this happen. Students will also be given support in how to approach these companies and apply for their placements.

We will be launching this with the students very soon and they will be given access to training to allow them to identify possible industries/sectors that they are interested in, complete all relevant documentation and to be able to track the progress of their application alongside writing a CV. This will all take place on the Unifrog platform which they already have access to. We will send out log in details again to students’ school email addresses to ensure they have access.

So, Year 10 and 12, time to get your thinking caps on and try and decide what type of placement you would like to apply for!Work Experience QR Code

Additionally, if you are able to offer a work experience placement to any of our students, please can you scan the QR code, or click here and fill out the brief questionnaire. This will take only a moment or two. We would be so grateful to have as many offers as possible from our parent community to support our students and you don’t have to have children in Year 10 or 12 to offer help.
