Ross Pizzey, Head of Year 9

I am proud to be the Head of Year 9. Having already supported this year group throughout their journey at Warlingham School, it is a privilege to continue working with them as they move into the next stage of their education. Watching them grow in confidence, maturity, and independence each year is incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to helping guide them as they continue to develop into responsible young adults.

I am passionate about encouraging our Year 9 students to be the very best version of themselves and to show kindness, respect, and consideration to those around them every day. In Year 9, we continue to champion the principle that Respect Earns Respect, and we encourage all students to treat others as they would like to be treated themselves.

We are fortunate to have a fantastic team of staff in Year 9 who are dedicated to supporting, challenging, and inspiring our students every day, ensuring they have the best possible experience both academically and personally.

I am delighted to continue my journey with this fantastic year group as Deputy Head of Year 9. Having already had the privilege of supporting these students during Year 8, I am excited to move up alongside them and continue to play a part in their growth and development.

As someone who was once a Warlingham student myself, this school holds a special place in my heart, and it is a privilege to now be supporting students in a pastoral role. Over the past year, I have enjoyed getting to know many of the students and watching them grow in confidence, maturity, and resilience.

As they begin Year 9, I look forward to supporting them through the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. My aim is to ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I will be there to celebrate their successes, help them overcome obstacles, and guide them as they continue to flourish both academically and personally.

Working alongside our dedicated pastoral team, tutors, teachers, and families, I am excited to see all that this year group will achieve and to help make Year 9 a positive, successful, and memorable year for everyone.
