Rupen Chotai
Head of College

As Head of Sixth Form, I feel genuinely privileged to work with students at such an exciting point in their educational journey. Watching young people grow into confident, capable and compassionate adults is one of the greatest joys of my career. I’m passionate about helping every student become the very best version of themselves — not only as inspiring role models for the main school, but as confident ambassadors for the wider world. In the Sixth Form, we champion curiosity, resilience and a growth mindset, and we work tirelessly to nurture these qualities in everything we do.

After studying Chemistry at the University of Warwick and completing my PGCE, I began my teaching career in two local schools, taking on a variety of roles including Head of Year, Head of Chemistry and Head of Science. I joined Warlingham in September 2008 and have loved every moment since. I’ve been fortunate to tutor in the College system throughout my time here and to teach many wonderful students at A Level in both Chemistry and Physics. The school has given me so many opportunities to grow — from leading a thriving Science department to shaping whole-school policies and running exciting extra‑curricular activities during Activities Week.

One of the things I love most about Warlingham is the sheer breadth of opportunities available to both staff and students. This is a place where you can truly make your experience your own — all you need is the willingness to seize the moment.

Outside of school, I’m a devoted Liverpool FC supporter, a keen reader and board game player, and someone who never misses a chance to enjoy a great night at the theatre.

Rob Leay
Deputy Head of College / Head of Year

After studying at the University of Sheffield, I moved to Milton Keynes to teach History in a secondary school for four years. Whilst thoroughly enjoying the job, I wanted to move closer to where I grew up and so joined Warlingham in September 2015.

I consider myself very lucky to work with our College students teaching History, Politics and Law, as well as helping them to secure their future next steps in my role as Deputy Head of College.

I am also always very happy to chat about all things football related as a dedicated Liverpool FC fan!

Rebecca Howe
Head of Year

I joined Warlingham in September 2003.  Since 2004, I have been part of the College team, as well as teaching A Level Art Textile and Product Design.

When I am not at work, I love going to art galleries, museums and the theatre.
