Remembrance Day Commemoration

On Friday 11th November, we marked Remembrance Day by joining together as a community to observe a two minute silence.

Our Year 7 students and some members of staff gathered together around the front lawn and outside steps of Reception to commemorate occasion. The Exhortation was recited by Paul Foster and the Last Post was sounded by our talented Year 9 Student, Oskar W, on the bugle. The two minute silence was then observed by the whole school to reflect and remember the armed forces members who have died in the line of duty. Oskar completed the silence with Reveille before everyone departed in silent memory.

Photo of Paul Foster and OskarThank you to Oskar for helping us to commemorate this poignant event and to our Year 12 A Level Film Studies students for filming the occasion.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
