About Us

It is a real privilege to be Headteacher of Warlingham School & Sixth Form College and to be able to work every day with inspirational young people and truly dedicated staff.

I want every child to achieve their very best whatever their starting point and at Warlingham we do this by encouraging our students to have high expectations of themselves and to strive for excellence.

Our School is part of the Tandridge Learning Trust formed in 2017.  The Trust is committed to maintaining the individuality and identity of all its schools which are:

  • Bletchingley Village Primary School
  • Hamsey Green Primary School
  • Tatsfield Primary School

At Warlingham, we want our students to be safe and happy at school and, as a result, enjoyment and engagement are important elements of life at our school. We expect our students to work hard, behave respectfully, dress smartly and take pride in their achievements; our student leadership programmes help our students to develop the confidence, grit and resilience needed to be successful in later life. These qualities will help them to develop into well-rounded young people, ready to make a positive contribution to the local community and wider society in general.

‘Wide Horizons, High Aspirations’ encapsulates the ethos of our School and we strive to make our core values of Courage, Commitment, and Kindness a reality every day. We aim to provide opportunities and experiences that will enable our students to grow into confident and healthy young adults who enjoy their time at school and leave with the skills, qualifications and values needed to face the challenges that lie ahead of them. Our focus on developing outstanding life long learners is achieved through the development of students as the Warlingham Learner. Alongside this, our thriving House system provides a sense of belonging, as well as a caring and supportive pastoral structure and lots of healthy competition.

The quality of teaching is obviously central to the success of any school. The greatest resource a school has is its teachers. We employ dedicated people with positive attitudes and high standards. All our staff go the ‘extra mile’ for students and are dedicated to nurturing young people’s talents and aspirations. All of us who work at Warlingham School & Sixth Form College have a passion to be the best we can and we all have the highest aspirations for every child throughout their school life. Learning takes place in a purposeful and well-disciplined environment in which students are encouraged to be actively involved through investigation, problem-solving, discussion, practical work and research. Students' progress is secured in lessons through our focus on the Learning Journey that students will make through the curriculum. Ofsted inspectors have praised the quality of teaching throughout the school, and the exemplary behaviour of our students.

If you choose to send your child to Warlingham School & Sixth Form College, we will do everything in our power to ensure that your child is happy, safe and successful. They will be joining a school with a strong established ethos and a culture based on providing a wide range of opportunities and high standards of achievement for every student.

I hope this website gives you a sense of this ethos and culture, but clearly the best way to find out is to come and see first-hand. Please contact reception if you would like to visit and see the school in action.
