Examination Contingency Dates

Contingency Day for 2025 Examinations

Written and practical exams for the summer can take place from after the Easter holidays through to the end of June.  The awarding bodies have designated Wednesday 25 June 2025  as ‘contingency days’ for examinations. This is consistent with the qualification regulators’ document Exam system contingency plan: England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This means that exam candidates should be available for examination purposes up to and including 25 June 2025 in case of any local or national disasters.  If candidates aren't available during this period, this could impact a candidate’s result.  Exams dates are at set dates and time, and cannot be changed.
