Warlingham CSLA Students Host Primary Schools Swimming Gala
On 22nd November, Warlingham School & Sixth Form College was delighted to host its first Primary Swimming Gala since 2019, and our thirteenth gala since 2007.
On Thursday 10th November, four Sixth Form College students and the Head of College, Rupen Chotai, had the privilege of visiting the Holocaust Memorial and Museum at Auschwitz in Poland.
On Wednesday 16th November, the English Department were pleased to offer our Year 10 and 11 students the exciting opportunity to take part in a GCSE Poetry Essay Writing Masterclass.
Congratulations to our Year 9 boys for their outstanding achievement at a School of Hard Knocks rugby tournament held at the prestigious Harrow School on Thursday 10th November.
On Friday 4th November, all Year 12 students were taken on a trip to Dorking Halls for a performance of Safe Drive, Stay Alive. The trip was organised by Surrey County Council and was designed to promote the importance of safe driving amongst young adults who are just starting their driving careers...
We were excited to hold our First Monday of the Month Music Recital at lunchtime on Monday 7th November from three of our Year 12 BTEC Music Performance students.
We are excited for Youth Club to start up again this year from Wednesday 16th November. This year, the club will be open to all students in Years 7 to 11 and we will be meeting every Wednesday after school from 3.15-4.15pm.
To celebrate National Poetry Day on 6th October, the English Department dedicated a lesson to sharing and writing poems relating to this year’s theme: the environment.
Last year, 56 Year 9 students took part in Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award at Warlingham. As part of the Award, students complete four sections: Skills, Volunteering, Physical, and Expedition.
